Thank You for 31 Wonderful Years

Happy Thanksgiving!

First of all, I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. It is a great time to be with family and friends, and to be thankful for all that you have.

As a company, we are entering our 70th year, which means we have been dedicated to the seniors housing and healthcare business for a very long time. You might think seniors housing didn’t exist 70 years ago, but it did, and the reality is, you would not recognize it, both physically and the quality of care. It was very different, which means you have come a long way.

I want to thank you for sticking with us through all these years. I know you may not agree with me all the time, and I may have offended a few of you once in a while, but I hope I have been consistent in my thought process and analysis. I do love this industry, and other than the people, what I love most is that it is always changing.

Perhaps more than anything, I like to figure out what is changing before others do, and how that will impact the investment market, both in good times and in bad.

So, thank you for supporting us for my 31 years in the industry. And thank you for doing the jobs that you do. Happy Thanksgiving.

  1. Congratulations.
Remember my father in Cincinnati reading the Irving Levin newsletters in his facilities in the 60’s and when he came to NY on trips he visited your office in Manhattan and now me, his son, is a skilled nursing home transactional lawyer.
    Small world.
Irving Levin and its sucessor is the best nursing home read.

    1. Aaron, you mean your father visited Irv at his Manhattan office in the 1960s? Wow. We took it over in 1986 and he died the next year at 82 I believe. If you are a transactional attorney for SNFs, we should talk sometime. Are you based in NY?
