Construction has begun at a brand-new senior living community in Fort Mill, South Carolina (Charlotte MSA). Mississippi-based Cardinal Ventures is developing the $15 million project, which will be called The Blake at Baxter Village. Frampton Construction Company, based in South Carolina, will be building the facility, and Blake Management Group will manage the property. Between these companies, this is their fourth senior living community they will have completed together, the others being The Blake at Edgewater, The Blake at Carnes Crossroads, and The Blake at Woodcreek Forest, all in South Carolina.

The Baxter Village community is expected to have 68 assisted living units, 33 memory care units, and 8 independent living townhouses, along with amenities such as a physical therapy clinic, movie theater, salon, chef-prepared meals, and daily and weekly cleaning services.

Blake Management Group is also currently building the 100-unit Claiborne at West Lake (assisted living and memory care) in Augusta, GA. Also in the news was that one of Blake’s newest properties, The Claiborne at Adelaide in Starkville, Mississippi, just recently sold for $22,700,000 to Waypoint Residential, a real estate investment firm headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida that is entering the seniors housing market. It will still keep Blake Management Group as the operator. Josh Randolph of Colliers International Alabama brokered the deal.
