Ziegler facilitated the affiliation of Kiawah Life Plan Village, Inc. with Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Communities. After exploring over 20 qualified organizations, KLPV selected Bishop based upon its reputation in the Charleston, South Carolina market, financial strength and shared values.
KLPV is a not-for-profit that was formed in 2020 to own and operate Seafields at Kiawah Island, a seniors housing community in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. Construction of the community is currently underway, and it is scheduled to open fall 2025. Seafields will consist of 89 independent living units and 16 assisted living units, along with various amenities. Residents will also have priority access to Bishop Gadsden’s Health Center for their skilled nursing needs, offering residents the full continuum of care.
Bishop currently owns/operates a CCRC on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina, about 20 miles from Seafields. The community sits on 125 acres and comprises 283 independent living units and 79 assisted living units. It also features Gadsden Glen Center for Health and Rehab, which has 32 skilled nursing beds, 68 long-term care beds and 32 memory care units.
Stephen Johnson, Marie Carlson and Ryan Anders of Ziegler handled this transaction.
