The CBRE National Senior Housing group flexed its muscles this week, closing two acquisition financings and an asset sale. First, Lisa Widmier represented HCP in its divestment of a 159-unit independent living/assisted living community in Beaumont, Texas, for an undisclosed price. Featuring a majority of independent living units, the community was built in 1996. Under management by Atria Senior Living, it was 93% occupied as of February. Congress Building Corp. has been named construction manager at Formation Development Group and Atria Senior Living’s latest senior living project in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The project commenced in November 2017, with Congress guiding the project through the pre-construction and construction phases. The company will also coordinate the subcontractor and supplier pricing, as well as the procurement process. Capitol Seniors Housing Announces Two More Senior Living Projects

Capitol Seniors Housing’s development pipeline is growing fast, as luxury senior living communities continue to go up and down the Acela Corridor, and Chicagoland too. The firm has announced its two latest projects in Andover, Massachusetts and Glenview, Illinois, both scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. The Andover community will feature 96 units, at a cost of $36.5 million, or $380,200 per unit. The Northbridge Companies will take over management. And in Glenview, CSH is building an 83-unit assisted living community for $28.4 million, or $342,200 per unit, which will be managed by Atria Senior Living.
